Privacy policy
What Draftbill stores, where, and for how long. Invoice data stays in your browser. Analytics and ads load only after you consent.
Diese Seite ist auf Englisch verfasst.
The short version
Your invoices never reach us. Everything you type is processed in your browser and kept in its local storage. We do not run accounts and we have no database of invoices, customers or logos. Analytics and advertising scripts are not loaded until you accept them in the cookie banner.
What is stored in your browser
Draftbill writes these entries to local storage on your device:
- The invoice you are working on (autosaved as a draft).
- Invoices you chose to save, and customers you saved.
- Your company profile: seller details, bank details, default notes and your logo as a small image.
- Your country and invoice language choice.
- Your cookie choice, stored by the consent banner.
How to remove it
Use “Erase all data on this device” in the saved-data section of the tool, or clear the site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also removes your cookie choice, so the banner will appear again. Saved data is not synchronised between devices; a backup file can be exported and imported by you.
Analytics and advertising
If you accept, we load an analytics script (Plausible or Google Analytics, depending on how the site is configured) to count visits and see which pages are used, and Google AdSense to show ads. These providers may set cookies or read identifiers in your browser and receive your IP address and the page you view. They never receive the content of your invoices, which is not sent anywhere. If you reject, none of these scripts load and the tool works the same.
Google describes how it uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served as static files by its hosting provider, which keeps technical logs such as IP address and requested URL for security and operation. Draftbill itself does not read those logs for tracking.
Your rights and contact
Under the GDPR you may ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for correction or deletion. For the data described above that is already in your own hands, and for analytics or ad data the provider you consented to is the controller. For anything else write to jonathan.holmlidh@gmail.com.
